We were delighted to share the TaLAI project's policy guidelines for assessment in the context of Generative AI at this year's Media & Learning Annual Conference in Leuven (17–18 June).

Dovilė Dudėnaitė-Tierney presented on behalf of the TaLAI concortium on 18 June, as part of the session "Rethinking Assessment and Learning in the Age of AI." The session brought together educators and researchers to examine how assessment is evolving in resp

onse to GenAI - looking at ways to foster authentic learning, integrate media and information literacy, and support fair, transparent assessment practices, while also addressing concerns around cognitive offloading and long-term skill development. The guidelines presented draw directly on TaLAI's ongoing work developing practical, ethics-informed policy recommendations for institutions navigating assessment design in an AI-enabled higher education landscape.
